Dirty place. They will try and rip you off.
Extremely personable, recognized us even after one year had passed. Everything you need in a great hotel.
The hotel itself was fantastic! And stayed there for a month for Business. Hotel price is reasonable compared to other hotels in shakopee. Very friendly and helpful Hotel owner and family, staff both at the desk, housekeeping and the free breakfast. Rooms are are well cleaned and maintained. The bathroom exceptionally clean and comfortable. Overall I had a good stay. Pizza place, Mexican (EL-TORO is excellent authentic), Chinese, Subway restaurants and lots of other options are available at walk-able distance. Personally i felt like, I was in home. Would stay again without any hesitation.
Nice, clean rooms. Older and a bit musty smelling. Beds were comfy and mattresses in a protective cover, that was nice to see. Had fridge but no coffee maker. "Breakfast" was very nominal, wrapped pastries and toast, couple of juice drinks. No microwaves anywhere. Had tea but no way to make it. Coffee was good and always available, until office locked.. owner was very friendly and accommodating, printed a couple of items for me. We would stay again.
I normally stay at the Holiday inn Express when in town, they were booked, so I stayed here. Not as new, nor does it have the extra things like a pool, or work out room, but it's clean and comfortable. You can walk to many food places, which you can't at HIX. All in all if all you need is a place to sleep, it's fine, I wouldn't recommend it for a family, even though the room had 2 beds, 4 people in it would be a crowd.
