I'm a huge fan of Marcus theaters. When they first came into my area, it was sad to see the prices of movies jump with no specials, but Marcus gives extra specials for loyalty members and it's free! This place has a bar, awesome popcorn, and reclining seats. So worth coming here, especially on a Tuesday for 5$ or a student Thursday for $6. Wonderful!
The seats were quite comfortable. I was quite disappointed with their food offering. We wanted a wrap but they were out of chicken. We wanted some hot tea but they were out of tea. I couldn't quite hear what the people next to us were ordering but they had to get two mediums of something because they were out of the large. And to top it all off, in the men's room one of the sinks had no water and the hand dryer was not working.
This is a really great looking, full-featured theater here in Shakopee! A bit of a menu for whatever you fancy while watching your favorite movie, a full bar with the largest projection screen I have seen with my own eyes! The seats in the Ultra Screen are heated, which was nice considering it has been cold this holiday season.
Every experience has been amazing! The customer service is awesome, the snack bar options are amazing - so much more than popcorn, candy and pop!! The seats ate SO comfortable, the DLX seats even heat up. Plus, if you pick the right two seats, the arm rest lifts up so a couple can sit closer. We have also taken advantage of their summer movie program for the kids, inexpensive and a great way to take a break from the heat.
The theater itself is a bit awkward to get to from Hwy 169, kind of a loop back behind everything, no direct access. Only restaurant in the lot is a Caribou, which makes sense considering they sell all sorts of food, there are a few places across the way. Overall, a good experience.

- The Zaffiro's food is made-to-order, so do expect anything from a 15-35 minute wait, depending on the flow of business on that particular time of day.
- The kitchen does close at 10pm every night.
- Admission is $5 all day every Tuesday, $6 for students and faculty every Thursday, and $6 for senior matinees(ending at 5:30pm) every Friday. Seats are to be reserved beforehand.
Such a pleasant experience! Spacious, well-lit, with a wide variety of high-quality food. The pizza and burgers are a must-try for sure! The leather recliners are comfortable and easy-to-operate.
- Trailers tend to last around 15 minutes before the movie actually starts, so don't worry if you're a bit late to your showtime.
