The Lowe's in Shakopee has unbelievably bad customer service. When you call the store their phone just rings and rings. Then someone answers and transfers you to the department you want but no one picks up there. So call back and it all happens again. Finally call and ask for a manager, wait on hold for 10 minutes, manager answers, says he's busy but will call me back in 5 minutes. Call never comes. Would not buy anything from a store that can't handle the most simple kindergarden task like connecting to someone who can answer a question.

A guy has to know his hardware stores. One might have better lumbere or tool than another and the other may habe better outdoor/garden stuff. Lowe's strong suit is their appliances. If I need an appliance; I go to Lowe's.

Not many customers late (8pm) so staffing is light. Downside is that you have to search for an employee if you need help but the upside is once found they have the time to do a good job of helping. Lowe's has some things that Home Depot doesn't and vice versa. I was here to get some home Ethernet devices that Home Depot didn't have.

The customer service staff is pretty incompetent. There is a sign at the service desk advertising that they can look up receipts within 90 days of purchase. However, the person working didn't know how to do it, and the head cashier also couldn't figure out. They were both also pretty rude about the situation.

My husband and went to get some lattice for our deck. We get to the cashier and two ladies seemed to be in a conversation. One gave us a look like we bothered her. The lattice didn't have a tag on it. So instead of her doing her job I had to go get the numbers. When I came back the ladie was still rather rude and never once smiled or thanked me for walking all the way to the back of the store. 3 other staff members all stood there as I did all the work. I would have left it if I didn't really need it. I won't be back to this store. Too bad because it so close. Pamela thanks for ruining my day and making me feel like I was doing something wrong by shopping at this store. Never again
