On Labor Day weekend I ordered a good amount of furniture from the Shakopee store. We got our couch and dining table set in a timely fashion. I ordered two accent chairs specifically to match the couch we got and they said they were on back order. The sales lady Deanna stated it would be about 30 days. I thought to myself that isn't so bad. I still hadn't received them after 1 month, 2 months, 3 months.... I called several times a few weeks apart to check the status and each time Deanna said she would have to call Corporate to find out where they are. She used the excuse they are being shipped from over seas and what with the hurricanes that may have pushed it back. Understandable.. however when I called the next few times to check the status they stated they would call me back with a status and never did; I always had to call them back. As of December 12th I still haven't received them and called a week ago to get a refund. I spoke directly to the store manager and he said he would issue that refund. A week later and we still didn't receive the refund. I called yet again and turns out he never put in the refund. What a joke. I will not be buying from this store again and if you do, don't buy from Deanna.
We have a very small doorway to get into our basement plus a tight turn. We went into the furniture store nearby and they told us we were pretty much out of luck. We decided to walk into Furniture Mart and Jeff was there waiting. He was very kind and not pushy, he helped us find what we THOUGHT we wanted. OF course after coming home and seeing the drywall in we changed our mind. We were just going to wander around and Brandon asked if we wanted help, we also gave him our dilemma and he found us the perfect furniture. Jeff and Brandon both did spectacular jobs, not only were they able to find us the perfect pieces for our thoughts that day, they KNEW the furniture, and I mean KNEW. Stop in and ask for either one of these gentlemen, we were not disappointed.
I give them one star not because of the store but their delivery system fails. they will ask you extra dollars when they bring staff for you even thou you already paid for delivery and If you say no they will make an excuse to say they can't fit your furnitures into your apartment and take it back. and when reported to upper management just another day at the office seems like they know it.
