My wife had such a blast here for her bachelorette party. And even ran into a bunch of other Bachelor parties. It's a fun place to go.
Love coming here to play cards or bet the horses. Will not play table games at Mystic because they do tip share so I find the dealers to be less friendly b and more rude. The dealers here earn their own tips and are a lot of fun. They have Ultimate Hold Em which you will not find at Mystic. Also love depending the day here watching the horse races on the weekend. Great way to spend the day, even if you don't know how to bet horses. You can attend Canterbury College in the spring for free to brush up your race betting. Lots of fun!
My family and I drove two hours one way to see the lantern display, the first negative part was that the prices listed on line and the actual price when you arrived at the gate were bate and switch strategy. For two adults and two kits 79$ to enter. If your children wanted to go through the bouncy houses etc, you could pay $52 a child for a vip pass. The live acts were on a stage that was set to low, if you were not early enough to have a chair there was a crowd and children were unable to see the stage with out sitting on your neck. There were three food trucks vending so the line were slow and limited. We drove a long ways, the lanterns were nice but the overall experience was not, I would NOT recommend this for a family your family would have a better evening going out to dinner and a movie. The honest truth is every time there seems to be some entertainment hosted at Canterbury that is not horse racing it falls short of entertaining.
Great place to bring the kids and watch the ponies run. Great selection of food and there are small bars everywhere to grab a drink. Plenty of seating inside and outside.
Nice facility. Spacious grandstand and upper area for simulcasting. Betting machines are newer and well-maintained. Wifi is great. Card room on the first floor with 24-hour kitchen. Two thumbs up!
